All products on the Atomic Movies website are coded Region 4 Pal unless otherwise shown as Region 1 or 2. Import titles are marked with the relevant region coding, ie. Region 1 (US) or Region 2 (UK).

What is Region Coding?

A security system introduced to DVD at the request of Hollywood's major studios to ensure that DVDs released and sold in one region will not play on DVD machines in other regions. Movie distributors therefore maintain control over release dates of their films, as well as enabling discs to be produced that conform to different censorship laws, language and subtitle requirements. When a DVD disc is manufactured, a region code is applied at the authoring stage such that the final disc will play only on those players distributed in the designated world region.

There are 6 regions throughout the world:

Region 1 - Canada, United States and its Territories
Region 2 - Japan, Europe, South Africa and the Middle East
Region 3 - Southeast Asia and East Asia
Region 4 - Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central and South America
Region 5 - Indian Subcontinent, Former Soviet Union and Africa
Region 6 - China

Many newer DVD players are already set to All Region and can play DVDs from any region. It is also possible to unlock many players and we may be able to help if you email with the make & model of your player.

Some studios are now releasing their titles as All Region or Dual Region, this information is given on each listing, these titles will play in Australian dvd players however may not play in Game consoles outside the country of the original issue.

If you have any doubt of about the suitability of the title you are intending to purchase please contact us for further information as refunds or exchanges are not available for incorrect items once the plastic seal has been breached.

Description
A short drama and two documentaries featuring extreme sports. 'Ultimate Gs - Zac's Flying Dream' (2000) features CGI-animated flying sequences and follows the journey of a young boy who hopes to one day become a pilot. Eleven-year-old Zac (Michael Cera) and his friend, Laura (Emma Taylor-Isherwood), are both passionate about aeroplanes, often creating their own contraptions. As adults, they both achieve their dreams, but Zac (Joel McNichol) and Laura (Emma Campbell) have now grown apart. When Zac later goes to visit his friend, he unexpectedly finds himself in the air, engaged in a duel against an adversary, allowing for an exciting flying display above the Grand Canyon. 'The Ultimate Wave - Tahiti' (2010) is a surfing documentary set on the island paradise of Teahupo'o, Tahiti. This coral reef is visited by many thrill-seekers and surfers every year, and is home to an impressive array of wildlife, such as tropical fish, whales, dolphins and sharks. The programme is presented by world surfing champion Kelly Slater and Tahitian surfer Raimana Van Bastolaer. Finally, 'Adrenaline Rush - The Science of Risk' (2002) examines the world of skydiving and base jumping (parachuting from a building, bridge or cliff). With breathtaking views of skydiving over the Florida Keys, the Mojave Desert and the magnificent Fjords of Norway, this giant-screen experience explores the psychological and physiological forces behind risk-taking and the physics involved in high-risk activities. The film follows two top risk-takers, Adrian Nicholas and Katarina Ollikainen, as they try to fly the first parachute ever designed as imagined in 1485 by Leonardo da Vinci. It also allows viewers to experience a 4,150-foot base jump from a Norwegian cliff thanks to a camera strapped to one of the professional jumpers.
